Your Influence Matters, Use It?
Do My Behavior, Actions and the Company I Keep Mean Something?
A key factor when it comes to growing and improving your lifestyle is the term Influence. Influence is defined as “the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something, or the effect itself.”
When you talk about influence, two very important principles come to mind and they are the books you read and the people you pay attention to. These are important because this is what make you the person you are today.
Great piece of wisdom here:
People or things of influence affect your Thinking (Thought Process)
Your Thinking (thoughts) affect your Beliefs (what you believe to be true)
Your Beliefs affect your Actions and
Your Actions affect your Results!
When you get some time for yourself, make sure you really think about this above phrase.
I recently attended a marketing conference and heard a leader make a statement that sticks with me today and that was, “In 5 years if you want to change your life in a big way, the only thing that will change are the books you read and the people you listen to and be around.” Be aware of the company you keep and the books you are reading; Powerful!
That’s why I read and study books of value for my business as well as my personal lifestyle. I also try to stay keenly aware of who I listen to and call my personal mentors or business coaches to make sure that their message is congruent with who I am and what I am presenting.
It’s a new day now with all of the many social media platforms that are used to get a message out and people of all ages are feeling empowered enough to share their voice and message. The critics and naysayers are doing their best to get their “negative” message out, what we need are more positive influences, like yourself, to share your voice full of positive stories, experiences and tips to turn the tide and show others that there is some hope, some light at the end of a seemingly dark tunnel.
