Do You Need to be More Accountable?
I came across an interesting quote the other day that read, “The problem with a work from home business is the fact that most people do not work while home.” One of the challenges of being a work from home entrepreneur is how easy it is to get distracted from income producing activities and move on to non productive items.
This “Steak” is a Big Distraction!
Think about it, most of the time when you are doing something that is optional like start your own business on the side of your full time job or learn a new language or start a fitness routine, when challenges come up the first thing you do is get distracted and/or you may even quit. Why? Because it’s optional!
Tim Ferris, the author of the Best Selling book, The 4 – Hour Workweek, came up with a concept that could be the difference in taking your business to the next level. The concept is called Creating STAKES in your business.
Creating Stakes can be the missing piece that will make you more accountable and give you more of an incentive to accomplish what you set out to accomplish either personally, professionally or both.
Whatever goal you set for yourself, if it means that much to you, then you really have to be serious about your day and activities. You need to create stakes that are big and serious enough to drive you to success especially if it means you have something meaningful on the line to get.
I want to see you win in business and leading others to creating their own financial destinies also however it starts with you and how serious you are in getting things done.
