My Speaking Opportunity with New York Life Insurance Company
Thanks to the New York Life Insurance Company family for allowing me the opportunity to inspire and encourage them for an “Extraordinary Year” for 2017 at their New York Life’s Annual Kick Off Gala in Fort Worth.
In a day filled with all kinds of activities such as my lovely wife’s birthday, my dad’s birthday and taking a final exam in an online course, I was super excited to be able to come and speak to this great group of people that makes up this company. The night was a little nostalgic for me because I had the opportunity to speak to the company that gave me my first position in the insurance industry as a life insurance agent over 20+ years ago.
I remember starting out as an agent in my hometown for a couple of months and then going back to school to graduate and get my college degree. There was a change of management and when I came back to go to work again, all of my files was gone and my services were no longer needed in that particular office. Well I stayed in the insurance field for 14 years, built a book of business that I eventually sold and I never would have thought that I would get the chance to be back involved with this company again.
Over the years and through many experiences as a business owner, the time was ripe for me to encourage and inspire this office and I had just the right words to say. Even though this particular office is a seasoned office full of top producing agents, I knew that I had to present content that would touch both the seasoned producers as well as the new agents. From the handshaking and conversations afterwards of how the message connected with their space, I must say that I felt overjoyed and grateful for this opportunity.
The Gold standard is a self prescribed label that I attach with New York Life Insurance Company when it comes to protecting families with life insurance and annuities and I am glad to have shared my heart to them, plus it was fun!
