Why Should I Care about Mood Designer Fabrics and a Dog Name Swatch?
The television show Project Runway? You want me to stop by Mood Designer Fabrics?
What is all of this about… fabrics, clothes, a Boston Terrier dog name Swatch, Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum?
I’ve never heard of nor had any desires to visit this place until my daughter, Lauryn, expressed her desire and dream to become a fashion designer. “Dad, please go by there and get a photo, that’s all I ask.”
Well, I do know how desires and dreams work and how just a little spark can turn into a blaze. God showed me Favor, not only by getting a photo of the place but meeting the owner’s father Jack Sauma, taking a tour of the location and bringing home a gift bag for my daughter.
They even have a Sewing School over there at Mood Designer Fabrics and Jack invited me to come back and get Lauryn enrolled in their kids camp when they have it scheduled.
Wow… I guess another trip to NYC is in the works and now she’s gonna try to put me on her schedule, smh! This visit was definitely a cool place to go and hang out for a few. I am sure before I head out to my next destination, my daughter will line up another cool place for me to check out and I am sure I will give her a hard time about it until I make it over there, lol!
The lesson for me is when you stay open minded you can learn something every day and God is absolutely good all of the time!
