A Fork in the Road? Either Way, it’s Your Choice to Make
Picture this, on a recent road trip maneuvering through the back roads of East Texas, filled with tall oak and pine trees throughout the drive, coupled with terrible cell phone reception and getting travel directions via text messages as we were driving, we found ourselves facing the image you see below…
That’s right, our journey brought us to a real life Fork in the Road. We all have heard of that proverbial “fork in the road” statement, which is a metaphor based on a literal expression for a deciding moment in life or history, when a major choice of options is required.
We were fortunate enough to be driving during the daylight hours and also to receive our last text message with the correct driving directions right before our cell phone reception went out.
However, this simple drive through the countryside gave us a chuckle as well as something to think about with our own life options and decisions. I want to pose a question to you; how do you handle those “Fork in the Road” moments that occur in your life.
