Have you ever had a home-based business that you really wanted to make work but you lacked the focus to ever make it work?

Many times the cause is lack of FOCUS on the right activities.

We live in a world of multitasking. Tabbed browsing, multiple monitors, mobile phones text messaging, 500 channels of TV and the list goes on. A lot of time what we think we are doing is working but in reality we are unfocused on the important activities that really grow our business.

Here are a few tips to help you stay focused and get on the right track.

1. Set aside specific time each day to work on your business.

2. Write down your list of what you want to accomplish during that time.

3. Close down all your other browser windows except the task you are focused on such as email, Facebook, Pinterest. Also test messaging on your phone…try to make it so you are not checking it every few minutes.

4. Only open up browser windows of what you are working on at the moment and then close them.

5. Always be evaluating yourself by asking the question. Is this activity growing my business or not. Things that grow your business are posting to your blog, marketing your blog post and your business, following up with your prospects, helping your new team members get started.

Remember in any business you will be doing a lot of “Planting Seeds” and may not always see immediate results but if you stay focused on the right activities, you will soon find that your efforts will pay off big time.

Are You Overwhelmed, Stuck, Lacking and Frustrated?

Let’s face it, when entrepreneurs come up with an idea or follow suit on their dream, optimism is high and enthusiasm is infectious however there are some warning signs you need to pay attention to down the road.

Sure, we all want to be the next success story doing interviews and speaking engagements all over the world however you will have to push through many obstacles and roadblocks such as frustration, feeling overwhelmed, stuck and lacking enough money and resources to get you over the edge.

At a recent marketers convention this topic came up and yes there are many warning signs on your journey, I’ve narrowed the list down to four and here some warning signs to take heed:
1. Spending more money than you are making
2. Buying every “tactic” and “shiny new toy”
3. Getting stuck in learning mode and not implementing
4. Not getting the desired results

Look at your business, your life… Is this You?

If the answer is Yes, then guess what, You are not the only one. Did you see what I just wrote… You are not the only one! All of the successful leaders you see at events, on webinars and tv, have been in your shoes at one time or another and here are some success ingredients they used to become successful.
1. They stopped chasing shiny objects!
2. They planned strategically instead of tactically and implemented their strategy on a very consistent basis.
3. They eliminated the distractions around them and became laser focused on income producing activities daily.
4. They sought after other successful people by any means necessary and moved away from negative people and negative environments that held them back.

That’s it in a nutshell!
